A few days ago, Fujian Province formulated and issued the "Rural Pollutant Discharge Standards for Rural Domestic Sewage Treatment Facilities" (DB35/1869-2019) (hereinafter referred to as the "Standards"), which applies to rural domestic sewage treatment facilities with a processing capacity of less than 500 tons per day. It will be implemented on December 1, 2014, and it will fill the gap in the standard system for rural domestic sewage treatment.

This time, Fujian Province formulated the "Rural Pollutant Discharge Standards for Rural Domestic Sewage Treatment Facilities", which comprehensively considers the actual rural and existing economic and technological conditions in the province and implements the principle of classification and zoning. Different emission standards are implemented in different regions and different treatment scales. For example, the treatment facilities that discharge effluent into Class III functional waters, and enclosed waters such as lakes or semi-enclosed waters such as reservoirs, strictly implement the first-level standards; for treatment facilities that do not require high water quality, the relatively loose second-level standard. Strictly control the ammonia nitrogen index for the water bodies that have occurred black and odor; and appropriately relax the requirements for domestic sewage treatment facilities under 20 tons/day.

Compared with the "Emission Standard for Pollutants in Urban Sewage Treatment Plants", this standard selects more compact indicators. It selects four mandatory control indicators and three selection control indicators. The "Standard" does not simply require the depth of treatment, and encourages the sewage to pass through After proper treatment reaches a certain reuse control standard, it will be utilized in a resourceful manner. Where conditions permit, the nitrogen and phosphorus components of domestic sewage will be absorbed through farmland and woodland.
